An app to survive summer as a tourist.

The outcome of a two-week sprint with Marketing, Fullstack, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud and Product Design profiles — to build a real product that answered a brief on global warming and extreme heat.

Lead Designer Urban tourism against extreme heat
Weeheat

Problem

The problem behind Weeheat

Build a digital product that improves the experience of urban tourism in extreme heat — a scenario that grows more common across the Mediterranean every summer.

Process

Weeheat's process

We explored urban tourism under extreme heat — pinning down the pains and risks with surveys and interviews. Given the urgency of the sprint, the developers implemented the sketches and wireframes as they came out, inside a two-week window.

An ideation workshop with the whole team prioritised the key features and settled on an app format over a web platform. Raquel González led critical UX/UI steps; Silvia Prendes drove marketing and business strategy.

Result

The MVP we shipped — a map of Madrid with the key spots for beating extreme heat, real-time temperature and weather data enriched by our Data Science teammates, a summer events calendar, favourites, and community reviews to discover the best places when the heat really hits.
